Leaf Safe Guttering is a new gutter system designed to eliminate the risk of vermin, leaves and other tree debris from clogging up home gutters thereby creating a significant fire or flood hazard.
Richard Waddington is an inventor by passion and an industrial/stage designer by trade. He has appeared three times on the old ABC Inventors program in the 1970s. Richard was the first one to come up with the concept of the surface tension gutter of which the current invention represents the natural evolution of the concept.
Leaf Safe Guttering is just one of many inventions Richard has developed. He is also the inventor of a revolutionary roof fixing system for securing roof tiles/shingles to a roof structure, which won an award at the 1995 Geneva Expo and receives praise from architects, builders and homeowners throughout the world. The unique fixing system delivers a substantially more efficient and structurally stable roof, but also one that uses less roofing product.
Richard has a diploma in industrial design although he says he used to do a lot of architecture. His great passions are art, history and playing the piano.
